Lanka360 Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 August 2026
What Lanka360 is
Lanka360 is a mobile app that brings together public information for Sri Lanka — weather, news, cricket, public alerts, government gazettes and exam notices, holidays, travel and utility calculators. This policy explains what data the app handles and where it goes.
No account is required
Every feature that reads public information works without signing in. Signing in is optional and only needed to keep favourites and saved items per account.
If you sign in
Sign-in is handled by Google Firebase Authentication, using Google, Apple, or an email address and password. We receive your display name, email address and (for Google) profile photo URL, and use them only to show your profile inside the app. Authentication data is processed by Firebase under Google's own terms.
What stays on your phone
Your language, home district, favourite places, saved gazettes and exams, calculator presets, quick actions and any profile photo you choose are stored on your device only. They are not uploaded anywhere, and deleting the app deletes them.
Network requests
The app fetches public data (weather, news, cricket, gazettes, alerts, exchange rates, place directories) through our edge service. These requests are not used to identify or profile you. Calculations such as NIC decoding and bill estimates run entirely on your device.
What we do not do
We do not sell your data. We do not show third-party ads. We do not use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
Your choices
You can sign out at any time, clear cached data from Settings, and remove any saved item. To delete a signed-in account and its data, email anujancis@gmail.com from the account's address.
